July 2018 – Maria Karpman became a voting member of the ASHRAE Standard 90.1 ECB Subcommittee, which is responsible for the development of the standard’s modeling protocols including Section 11 and Appendix G.
May 2018 – Karpman Consulting has been awarded a contract to provide Energy Code Enforcement Training to municipalities participating in NYSEDA’s Clean Energy Communities Program.
Spring 2018 – Karpman Consulting has completed technical analysis in support of NY Stretch Energy Code development, including a new policy to limit envelope tradeoffs made by projects documenting compliance following ASHRAE Standard 90.1 Section 11 and Appendix G.
January 2018 - SUNY Albany Building 25, a gut-rehab project on the campus of the State University of New York, has received a LEED Platinum certification. Our role on the project included design support to optimize energy performance, energy modeling, and documentation for LEED NC Energy and Atmosphere Credit 1 and Prerequisite 2.
December 2017 - Karpman Consulting has been approved as a Multifamily High-Rise Review Organization (MRO) for the ENERGY STAR Multifamily High Rise Program.
November 2017 - Karpman Consulting has become an approved Technical Assistance Provider for the Enterprise Green Communities program in the following areas: Integrative Design Process/Design Review, Data Analysis/Portfolio Benchmarking, Energy Modeling, Audits, Inspections and Performance Testing, Comprehensive Green Capital Needs Assessment, and Training.
