Energy Engineer / Engineering Tools Developer
We are looking for motivated professionals with excellent communication skills to support or lead the following projects:
Develop software related to building energy modeling to enhance modeling features, perform data extraction and transformation, and create graphical interfaces and visualizations of data.
Automate software unit testing, quality control, and continuous integration.
Perform energy modeling using eQUEST or similar tools to inform design, document LEED certification, document energy code compliance, in support of energy audits and incentive program participation. This work includes completing technically demanding tasks, validating results, performing quality control, and presenting results to clients.
Education/Experience
At least 2 years of experience in software development and testing; preferably Python, C++, or Ruby and experience with GUI development using Qt or Tcl/Tk GUI toolkits
Comfortable with Git version control and GitHub or Azure DevOps
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of eQUEST or similar tools
Knowledge of ASHRAE Standard 90.1
Knowledge of building systems
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Degree in engineering or related field
BEMP, PE, CEM, or LEED AP a plus
